Rescue operation underway in Karnataka's Udupi following incessant rainfall
Rescue operations are underway by State Disaster Relief Force in Karnataka on September 20, following heavy rainfall in the region.
SDRF along with local youth rescued people in low-lying areas of Udupi.
Heavy rainfall led to severe water logging in several villages.
According to Indian Meteorological Department heavy rainfall is likely expected in coastal Karnataka on September 21.
Food and shelter were provided to the rescued people.
