Kozhikode crash: Mortal remains of pilot-in-command Deepak Sathe reach Mumbai

Mortal remains of pilot-in-command Deepak Vasanth Sathe reached Mumbai on Sunday afternoon.

Mortal remains were kept at the Air India facility near the Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport for some time.

Deepak Sathe's wife Sushma and their son were present.

Body of the deceased was brought to Mumbai from Kochi.

Pilots, crew and ground staff of Air India paid tributes to the late captain.

Sathe lost his life with 17 others in Kozhikode plane crash.

Mortal remains of co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar were cremated on Sunday.

Around 200 Air India Express employees paid tribute to the fallen co-pilot in Delhi.

Kumar's mortal remains were taken to his native place in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura.

An Air India Express plane overshot the runway on August 7.

The aircraft fell into a valley where it split into two pieces.

At least 18 people, including two pilots, were killed.

There were 190 people onboard the Vande Bharat flight.

The flight was bringing back Indians stranded in Dubai due to Covid-19 pandemic.
