Late monday night... that suspect fled the scene in a maroon nissan altima..

Happening today - chico city council members are set to meet - to talk enforcement for the mask mandate..

Right now there is no set amount the city can fine you for violating any city code.

Now city staff is requesting a fine up to 100 dollars for first time offenders... that could increase to up to 500 dollars for repeat offenders..

If passed this would not affect already set fines for other violations.

Governor gavin newsom announced that coronavirus hospitalizations are down across the state..

Not only that... the average number of new cases for the past week has also declined..

By roughly 21% from the previous seven day average those statewide averages don't affect all californians equally.

The central valley region is still seeing positivity rates for the virus as high as 17- percent... while average for california is just seven-percent.

The assembly changed its ruls monday to let lawmakers at high risk for the coronavirus submit absentee votes.

The u-s postal service is pushing back...after president trump suggested that u-s-p-s may not be able to deal with an expected increase of mail- in ballots.

Mail deliveries have recently slowed down by at least two days in some places.

But workers are blaming new procedures pushed by the postmaster general appointed by president trump... and that usps will be able to handle an increase in eleciton mail.

The bill would permanently fund the land and water conservation fund and will also start a fund for maintanence and reparis of park infrastructure.
