Arm violation enforcement program."

School is right around the corner.

With classes approaching...parents may be finding it difficult to talk to their kids about the new year...because of the pandemic... news 10's bri shackelford is here in studio to give you some advice on what you can do.

Bri?

Classes are starting up again here in the wabash valley.

Due to covid-19.

There are more concerns sending children back to school.

Whether you're deciding to go hybrid, virtual or the in- person option.... you and your children might be feeling anxious, stressed or scared.

I spoke with mark collins.

He's the chief clinical officer at hamilton center in terre haute.

Collins says whatever school option you choose for your family... know that it's the best option.

He says when your mind is at ease... your child will be able to know.....and that will put them more at ease.

Having those honest coversations are important.

Collins says speaking with friends or family about their plans for the future might help ease your mind too.

But...the best thing you can do for your child is to put them back in a routine.

"kids, kids don't know what to expect.

With corona, covid-19, they don't know what to expect.

They don't know what it's going to look like going back.

Having their routine that they're used to, or even if you have to create or eastablish a new routine, that becomes a safety net for those kids and adolescences."

Hamilton center has 11 locations around west central indiana.

If you think your child needs help with anxiey, stress, or depression.....you can go hamilton center's website.

There you'll find a list of all the servies they offer.

We have that linked on our website
