TikTok and The Weeknd Team up for Virtual Concert The show is on August 7 at 8:30 PM ET with a digital avatar representing the singer.

According to TikTok, viewers can interact with The Weeknd as he performs songs from his latest album, 'After Hours.'

The social media platform adds it is the “first-ever in-app cross reality experience.” TikTok also says that funds from the performance will benefit the Equal Justice Initiative.

According to The Verge, TikTok is putting the event together with Wave, which worked on a virtual show featuring John Legend.
