The kargil war proved costly for captain satendra sangwan of the grenadiers regiment.
As the 30-year-old captain made his way down lone hill, (17,000 ft) having scouted the area for the enemy, he stepped on a landmine.
Initially, he felt no pain, but as he looked down, his right foot was gone.
