Mazda MX 30 Battery Concept and Multi Solution Approach

Mazda will be bringing its first all-electric vehicle to market soon in the form of the MX-30 SUV, which made its debut at the 2019 Tokyo auto show.

The subcompact-sized crossover has a sharp exterior design with a coupe-like roofline and rear-hinged back doors similar to those found on the BMW i3 electric car.

Many details are still hazy, but Mazda says the SUV will come with a 35.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor.

Pre-orders have already started for European buyers and we expect the MX-30 to go on sale in the United States sometime in late 2020 or early 2021.
