Utica parks opening July 6

Mayor Robert Palmieri says several Utica parks will open July 6, but visitors are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.

He will wear a mask when he gives his acceptance speech at the rnc in august--where all attendees will be required todo.

The parks include addison miller...just the park...not the pool... the playgrounds at proctor park and seymour park will also open.

At pixley park....wankel park...quinn park...and o'connor's park....the playgrounds and wading pools will open.

The parkway recreation center and tennis courts will open.

Individuals who utilize the parks must observe guidelines outlined by the new york state department of health.

They will all be open from 11-to-4 monday through friday... in addition, the city of utica john mott tennis courts at the parkway recreation center received a grant from the united states tennis association to help offset some of the tennis-related expenses associated with reopening the courts.
