Watch: Bodies of COVID-19 victims dumped in open pit in Karnataka's Ballary

In what appears to show the state of affairs in Karnataka, health workers were seen dumping bodies of COVID-19 victims in an open pit allegedly in Ballary district.

The incident came to light after the video went viral on social media, and was also shared by state Congress leader DK Shivakumar on Twitter.

Reacting to it, Ballary's Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul said an enquiry has been initiated in the matter, adding that this was not the preferred method of burying the bodies of COVID-19 victims.
