Oscars 2021 Ceremony Moved To April Due To Concerns Over Virus

The organizers of the Oscars on Monday shifted the date of the 2021 movie awards ceremony.

Originally planned to be held in February, they have moved the event to April.

This is largely due to the coronavirus epidemic, according to Reuters.

The Academy said the Oscars is the highest honors in the film industry.

The night of spectacle and awards will now take place on April 25, 2021.

COVID-19 shut down movie theaters worldwide and brought production of films to a halt.
