FBI's Wray to protesters: 'We in law enforcement hear you'

"We are not in any way trying to discourage peaceful protesters," FBI Director Christopher Wray told demonstrators on Thursday, more than a week after the death of George Floyd.

"We have to make sure that our policing and our investigations are conducted with the professionalism and commitment to equal justice that you all deserve," Wray said.

Images of a white police officer kneeling on the neck of African-American George Floyd, who then died, have sparked protests across the U.S., some of which turned violent.
