RS Prasad announces electronic manufacturing schemes

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad announced electronic manufacturing schemes.

While briefing the media he said, "Electronic manufacturing in India has risen from Rs 1.9 lakh crore in 2014 to Rs.

4.58 lakh crore in 20018-19.

Our global share in electronic manufacturing has risen from 1.3% to 3% in 2018." He further said, "We are announcing today one 'Production Linked Incentive Scheme', increase your production and earn incentive and also, 'Component Manufacturing Scheme' and 'Cluster Scheme' for development of the electronics manufacturing sector."
