Hundreds attend illegal party in Hackney flouting lockdown rules until 300 cops break it up

Hundreds flouted lockdown rules to join a huge illegal rave in Hackey in east London on Saturday (May 30th) night before it was stormed by around 300 riot police.

Revellers met up to party on Southwold Rd in Lower Clapton despite the coronavirus restrictions banning mass gatherings.

Police deployed a helicopter and hundreds of officers to break up the rave and confirmed there were a "small number" of arrests made.
