Michael Fish's NBC 26 weather forecast

We have another warm and muggy day on tap today.

There is the chance of a hit-or-miss T'storm today, but not everyone will see those, and they wouldn't last all day if you would.

If you would see one of those storms, you could see a pretty good downpour, a little gusty wind or small hail.

Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 80s away from the lake with a steady SSE breeze.

The slight chance of a shower or T'storm will continue tonight, but most of the night should be relatively quiet and mild with lows in the upper-60s, though cooler lakeside.

A chance of isolated to scattered thunderstorms will continue Wednesday, and become a bit more widespread Thursday.

Highs Wednesday will be in the low-80s and we'll have upper-70s Thursday.

The reason due to this continued risk of storms lays with a strong blocking high pressure over the Atlantic.

This high is causing a ripple effect on storm systems moving through the Midwest, slowing their progression.

Eventually this block will degrade and by Thursday evening, we will end the risk for storms. Temperatures will only top out around 70 Friday with mostly sunny skies.

Some cooler air moves in for the weekend with highs in the 60s Saturday.
