COVID-19: Security guards at HP State Secretariat demand PPE kits

Security guards deployed at Himachal Pradesh State Secretariat feel unsafe as they are not equipped with proper safety kits to combat with COVID-19.

They said that they are at risk of getting infected as they come in contact with so many people amid coronavirus pandemic.

While speaking to ANI, one of the security guards said, "We were given a pair of gloves each that has torn.

We should get personal protective equipment." There are over 100 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Himachal Pradesh.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases is over 63,000 in India.
