Amphan Cyclone: NDRF Chief SN Pradhan confirms deployment of 24 teams on hot standby

NDRF Chief SN Pradhan on the backup preparations for Amphan Cyclone said that we have kept additional back up too.

He confirmed that 6 NDRF Battalions - 11, 9, 1, 10, 4, 5 have been identified for it.

"11 battalion is in Varanasi, 9 in Patna, 1 in Guwahati, 10 in Vijaywada, 4 in Arakkonam and 5 battalion in Pune have been deployed," said SN Pradhan.

NDRF Chief SN Pradhan said that every battalion has 4 teams, so there are 24 teams on hot standby.

He said, "These teams can be airlifted on short notice and can be brought to the areas affected from cyclone."
