Elephant owners in Kerala suffer due to lockdown

Coronavirus lockdown in the country has badly affected lives of elephant keepers and mahouts in Kozhikode.

Expressing unhappiness over ongoing lockdown, owners said lack of resources has made it difficult to look after elephants.

With existing lockdown, their main source of earnings through temple festivals has also come to halt.

Due to lack of work, they are finding it difficult to feed the elephants.
