A new version of a breathing aid that can help coronavirus patients has been developed in less than a week by a team involving Mercedes Formula One, and is being trialed at London hospitals.

Mercedes F1's new breathing aid has been developed in less than a week Location: Brixworth, UK Engineers and clinicians at UCL Hospital teamed up with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains to reverse engineer a device that could be produced quickly The machines have already been approved and hundreds will be trialed at UCL before being rolled out to other hospitals Similar devices have already been used in China and Italy to deliver air and oxygen under pressure and help the patient breathe without needing a ventilator which is a more invasive process
