Hulu is not tolerating any bad 'Parasite' takes

On April 8, Hulu announced that its viewers could watch “Parasite”.

A coveted addition to the streaming service, particularly during this time of quarantine.

“Watch the film that made Oscar history,” Hulu tweeted in its announcement.

This indicated to a bunch of Twitter users that it was perfectly acceptable to respond with their gripes with the movie.

And Hulu was not having it.

“Parasite” made history earlier this year when it became the first foreign film to win Best Picture at the Oscar’s.

It, unfortunately, sparked a debate over subtitling versus dubbing.

The main complaint around subtitles was that they were hard to read and made following the plot difficult.

“Parasite” director Bong Joon-ho addressed the subtitle backlash in January.

When “Parasite” won Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes.

“Once you overcome the one-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films”
