Juul Gets Hit With Lawsuit From The Federal Trade Commission

The Federal Trade Commission announced its suing e-cigarette manufacturer Juul for breaking antitrust law.

The lawsuit comes after Juul sold a big chunk of its company to tobacco company Altria Group.

According to Gizmodo, Juul sold 35 percent of themselves for $12.8 billion to Altria.

Altria used to be in direct competition with Juul but agreed to not compete in return for some ownership in Juul.

The deal allowed Altria to appoint an observer to Juul’s Board of Directors and appoint three members to the board.
