City Council comment slurs

During the online city council meeting last night, someone posted racial slurs in the comment sections.

City Council comment slurs

Council members conducted the first ever council meeting through zoom's teleconferance program.

It's a new social distance practice between council members.

The purpose of the meeting was to continue to find ways to offer services to the city and it's municipalties.

Unfortunately as the meeting began, racial slurs were being used in the public comment section causing a distraction.

It hurts to know that in 2020 to know that as an african american you still have to do deal with such hateful comments.

Althoug it hurt it then became sad because i know whoever was on the other side of those messages, that person is hurting, that person needs love, that person is going through something.

City council is looking for a plan to block negative and deragoatory comments through their i-t department for future meetings.
