Belmont police chief donald ray thomas tested positive for covid- 19.

Mayor buddy wiltshire posted the news this morning on the tishomingo county town's facebook page.

He reports that thomas feels fine and shows, if any, symptoms. the chief and mayor are encouraging residents to stay home.

Wiltshire tested negative for the virus.

Thomas will quarantine for 14 days.

Once confirmed by the state health department, this could be tishomingo county's first covid-19
