Victoria's Secret Lays Off Most Of Their Store Workers

Victoria's Secret is one of many retailers to be hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.

According to Business Insider, on Friday the lingerie brand announced that their stores will remain closed until further notice.

They initially thought that their retail locations would reopen on March 29.

Victoria's Secret also said that as of April 5, they will lay off the majority of their store workers.

This includes employees who cannot work from home or support their e-commerce efforts, until further notice.

Some senior employees will be forced to take a 20% salary cut.

L Brands, Victoria Secret's part-owner promised to "make every effort" to return the jobs to their workers when they could, adding that "impacted workers will continue to receive healthcare benefits during this time."
