The Tippecanoe County Health Department announced Friday its first death due to COVID-19.

He died at iu health arnett earlier today.

He had been hospitalized as one of the county's previous eight positive cases.

At least 25 people have now died from coronavirus in indiana.

The state reported 336 new cases this morning, meaning 981 people have been diagnosed.
