Authorities in southern India use water cannons to disinfect roads during coronavirus outbreak

Local authorities in Coimbatore, southern India use water cannons, more often used to disperse protests, to spray the streets with disinfectant on Friday (March 27).

A 21-day total lockdown in the country was announced on March 24 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
