Drivers pass through checkpoints during coronavirus lockdown in Manila
Police in the Philippines check motorists as the country enforces a coronavirus lock down.
Military checkpoints were set up around Metro Manila, the country's capital region, as a strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19 locally between people.
In the video from Sunday (March 15), travellers trying to enter the border had to show a certificate of employment to prove the address of their workplace in Manila.
Everyone's temperature was also checked to prevent sick people from getting in or out.
Onlooker Kendra Lobramonte said that the checkpoints are causing massive traffic so he goes to work at least two hours early before his shift.
He said: "I understand why this has to be done.
The implementation of the quarantine is this strict."
