sears over two years ago and we've been in the process of taking the former building and the parking lot and bringing in all types of new uses so we started with cheesecake factory that opened and they've done phenomenal and now we're about to open dick's sporting goods which will bring in their latest concept and move across the street from their location on in hamilton crossing and then dave and buster's which is new to the market entertainment sports they've got this huge video wall that they'll have there and they're opening march 16th and then down the road we have another restaurant malone's which will open next year and it's from lexington kentucky it's gonna be phenomenal over 10,000 square feet multiple concepts sushi tavern and then high-end steaks and then we're bringing in which is really exciting for us mitch's new concept aloft and they're gonna be part of the overall project and that's something we haven't done before is having a hotel as part of an overall retail project so we're really excited about the combination of uses that we're gonna be able to create at hamilton place and i kind of want both of you to answer this next question because i'm curious number one how did you decide which additions were right for this market for this location not only with you know dave & buster's you know dick's moving and the retail locations but also the addition of a hotel so i'll start so malls across the country have been criticized for being homogeneous for being the same and now with the closing of stores like sears we have the opportunity to bring in new uses and every single mall is different and every markets different so we look very closely at the market where the opportunity was and want to bring in new dynamic relevant uses that are gonna keep a property like hamilton place successful for a long time to come so that was really our thought process and we described it as taking a traditional enclosed mall and creating a suburban town center and bringing in all types of uses as part of that so that was really our vision when we were starting and that's our vision across the whole portfolio and hamilton place is just a prime example of what that is and that we've known mitch for a long time in the community we admire everything he does in the opportunity to partner with him is just phenomenal for both the property and for us as a company in mitch tell us why you think this is gonna be the perfect fit to join you know at a loft hotel with this new mixed-use development okay absolutely so the hamilton place mall has been around for a long time and there's over 25 hotels we own four of them in the market so it's an absolutely great market over the over the decades and and when this redevelopment opportunity came with this mixed use of of entertainment dining is as steven mentioned we thought what a wonderful opportunity to place a hotel in that development guests really appreciate being in a place where they could walk to dining and entertainment and and those kind of uses so we're really excited to be a part of that center g and we're taking a step further well you have a mean mugs coffeehouse a there's stuff for locals at this hotel don't be tuning out right absolutely so we're gonna place a mean mugs coffeehouse on the ground floor as well as one-of-a-kind a rooftop bar which is very rare in a suburban location like hamilton place to have something like that but we really want it to be a draw from a further area perfect i love this idea and of course all this is happening over the next coming months we'll keep you updated on all of the dates as they you know are ready to go when dix is ready to open when dave and buster's arena open we're all looking forward to those locations and the hotel's gonna be
