In the Paint Part Two

Back welcome back to in the paint... 3a washington and 1a number 11 bloomfield are both having solid seasons.... the two got a good late season test tonight as they faced one another.

This one took place at the hatchet house and it was a good one for many reasons.

One being that guy right there....washington senior grant niehaus.

With his first points of the game tonight.... he scored his one thousandth career point in a hatchet uniform.

Congratulations to you grant on that accomplishment.

We pick this one up in the fourth quarter with washington leading..

Bloomfield would not go away though... off the miss...baylin graff gets the board and the bucket for two..

Then...graff spreading the love on this valentine's day..hits cameron ross who bangs home the triple.

But washington answered when they needed too.

Hatchets swing it around to kiowa jones for three....buckets.

Later jones drives the lane and hits logan reester for the *corner three*.

Washington edges bloomfield at home in this one tonight.

The hatchets win a tough won 65 to 60 over the cardinals.

They were lead in scoring by mr one thousand grant niehaus who dropped 23.

Bloomfield drops their 3rd straight game falling to 12 and 7 on the season... while washington notches their 15th win.

South vermillion put their four game winning streak on the line tonight.... the wildcats had a home wrc game against attica.... eli royal is pretty good at football, not bad at hoops either...the wildcat money on the three ball... royal then goes inside and does some damage scoring off the nice pass from connor vanlannan..look at royal take the contact, but it doesn't effect him...he's a tough guy, he's a football guy... royal later returns the favor to vanlannan for a layup...... ' south vermillion wins big, 78-33.....wildcats are playing some good basketball, they've won five straight... riverotn parke was looking to beat north vermillion for a second time this season.... panthers to much early on for the falcons.....rp misses but alex atkinson cleans up....he had 17..... again rp for another second chance....peirson barnes drives and gets the hoop and harm.... north vermillion finds trystan bush behind the arc...the senior says 1-2-3..... riverton parke wins 54-37.....panthers get the falcons for the second time this season... vincennes lincoln has won a season-high three straight to even their record to nine and nine on the year.

The alices were at home for this big 8 contest against boonville.

Lincoln trailing early but torrence gillis finds ethan bushey in the paint for an easy bucket at the rim.

Just a minute later the same pair at it again.

Bushey slips to the rim..gillis the great find... and the alices find themselves within 2.

To tie it they turn it up on d.

Julius hardiman comes up with the loose ball and he finds gillis all alone.

This time the point guard scores it to knot it up.

But the pioneers would emerge in this one.

59-53 the final from vincennes.

Loogootee suffered their first loss on tuesday in over a month as they fell at 4a bedford north lawrence.... the fourth ranked lions were looking to right the ship as they hosted mitchell.

We pick this one up at the start of the second half with loogootee leading by one... 23 to 22.

Sophomore luke nontay has it... with the hesitation...gets in the paint floats it up and it.

Loogootee having some trouble in this one though..

Later... nontay gets the dribble handoff from wildman..drives to the hole and kisses it off the glass like it's his valentine with the left hand.

Two nice plays in a row by the sophomore.

But like i said... the lions just didn't look like themselves tonight.

Loogootee is upset at home by mitchell 49 to 46.

The 4th ranked lions drop to 15 and 5 on the year.

Jalen wildman led the scoring with 13.

Vincennes rivet was looking to stretch their winning streak to three in a row, they were at shoals..... the home of the jug rox... which in my opinion has to be the best nickname in the wabash valley.

Anyway..

First quarter..rivet gets it inside to trevon taylor who puts it up and in off the window.

He had himself a big night tonight.

Then...jug rox have it...robert sullivan gets it on the wing.... boom baby!

Look at specks drill the triple on senior night.

Later... the patriots find austin finch in the corner... he sizes it up... likes what he sees for 3... bullseye.

Rivet ran into some trouble tonight though and winds up on the losing end.

The jug rox defeat vincennes rivet by a final of 57 to 45 to snap their 3 game win streak.

Trevon taylor drops a double double for the patriots with 15 and 10 in the loss.
