The utica college men's hockey team hasn't lost in 13 games.

But tonight, the last team to hand them a loss came into the adirondack bank center, to fight for sole possession of second place in the uchc.

Stevenson university who according to head coach gary heenan is having their best year to date is facing the pioneers who are having an amazing year of their own.

-- and they wasted no time geting it done.

About 6 minutes into the first, brandon osmundson fires from the point to put utica on the board first.

-- about a minute and a half later, kasper kjlellvist with the puck, handles it, finds himself open and sends a wrister from the wing and into the back of the net.

Pioneers take a quick two-pointlead.

-- stevenson would respond with two goals of their own in the first, by ryan patrick and a rebound put-back by chris javens with less than a minute to go in the period.

-- early in the seocnd period, right off the draw, jacob cuffley with a shot from straight on and into the net.

Utica regains the lead.

Jarrod fitzpatrick would score a shorthanded goal in the third to put them up 2 and stevenson's nick gray would try to close the gap with a goal late in the third but the pioneers would hold them off and win 4 to 2.

-- they are now the sole holders of second place in the conference and have now won 14 in a row.

The ladies were actually up first on the ice this afternoon against wilkes university.

The pioneers kept the momeum ing after their win last night -- pioneers up 1 going into the second period with a goal by lexi stanisewski, about 2:30 into the second, maggie rylott to erica sloan who goes right around ally joly for the score.

Utica up 2-0.

-- wilkes would put up 30 shots on pioneers netminder bria reilly but she was a brick wall today and recorded her enshrined this august.

The hall of fame class will be announced during the ncaa final four on april 4.

The high school wrestling sectional championships took place at src arena at onondaga community college and here are the winners from our local schools.

-- here are your results for section 3 division 1: auburn had two winners: luca pirozzolo in the 138 and keyshin cooper in the 220.

Congratulations to oneida girls volleyball on winning the class b winter sectional championship tonight at jamesville-dewitt high school.

They won in four sets against vernon-verona- sherrill.

The indians close out the season undfeated
