Footage shows a number of expensive cars performing 'doughnuts', leaving tyre marks and speeding

This shocking footage shows expensive cars performing 'doughnuts', leaving tyre marks and speeding - in super-posh Belgravia.

Drivers can be seen performing dangerous stunts on public roads in the wealthy area - including on a zebra crossing.

The video also shows the vehicles - worth thousands of pounds - accelerating on busy streets and people leaning out of windows in the upscale district in London.

The person behind the footage said it is from an organised car meet last weekend (February 8).

Asking to be known as Anytime Spy, they said: "They are usually organised through online groups, WhatsApp, forums, social media, etc.

"Locations are usually given a few hours before the meet will happen, to avoid them getting closed off before they start.

"I often see the s***storm that comes with it." Cars seen in the footage include a Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

One clip shows a blue car performing a series of 'doughnuts' for a crowd on a zebra crossing in front of a plush shop on Sloane Street - while a bus is forced to wait.

The manoeuvre entails rotating the rear or front of the vehicle around the opposite set of wheels in a continuous motion, creating a circular skid-mark pattern.
