NBC26 Storm Shield Forecast

We are starting off this morning on a chilly note with temperatures in the single digits.

High pressure is going to stick around today keeping the sunny skies as well.

Temperatures will climb into the mid 20s with southwest winds between 10-20 mph.

Tonight, skies will turn overcast.

Temperatures will fall into the upper teens with a southwest wind at 10-15 mph.

Wednesday for the most part will be quiet during the fist part of the day.

Temperatures climb into the lower to mid 30s with a steady southwest wind at 10-20 mph.

Some snow will develop after sunset and move in from the west.

A light dusting to an inch or two is possible but it is a rather weak system.

Another center of low pressure will develop over the Southern Plains absorbing the initial storm Wednesday.

With this low pressure then moving northward towards Wisconsin, it will keep the threat of snow or a wintry mix around through Friday.

Temperatures will remain in the lower to mid 30s for highs Thursday and Friday.
