Whole Milk May Reduce Risk Of Obesity In Kids

A new study has found that kids who drink whole milk have a lower risk of being overweight or obese.

They that whole milk-drinking kids were 40% less likely to have an unhealthy weight than their skim milk drinking peers.

According to UPI, their results were based on the analysis of data from 28 studies.

The new findings challenge international guidelines that recommend children consume reduced-fat milk.

Current guidelines recommend children consume reduced-fat cows milk starting at age two.

Study authors found that the majority of children in Canada and the U.S. consume cow's milk on a daily basis.

The authors point out that milk is a major contributor of dietary fat for many children.
