School are showing off their achievements.

The school held a special showcase to let students shine.

It's called "reflections of outstanding academic rigor," or roar.

Which is perfect for the red bank lions.

David moore has another example of what's right with our schools.

Natural sound: welcome to roar night.

Hope you enjoy it.

Courtney: roar night is an evening where we showcase all of the great student work that has been going on all semester at our school.

This is our third year doing it.

And so we have one every single semester.

We have one in the fall and we have one in the spring as well.

The community loves coming to see it.

Parents love seeing students work on display.

All of our class english, math we have the technology going on in the history classes.

Our choirs and our band perform as well during these evenings.

Elaine: we have musical performances from our students.

But we also have community partners here as well.

And so we have a northside neighborhood house have put on a health fair that is in our cafeteria.

We have the united way here and has partnered with blue cross for our 211 kiosk.

Jeremy: today we are here to unveil our kiosk to provide one on one support to our members in the community; around resources and services.

Blue care is mission is peace of mind through better health.

We're here to help give them everything they need and access to healthcare that they need.

Courtney: this night or for this roarnight we have things that you can see.

You can experience what it's like to go to a utopia and a dystopia.

Which is fabulous.

You can also experience kind of like a farmers market if you will.

We have calculus coding.

So if you feel up to the challenge you can go and learn how to code with calculus.

Natural sound: every time you do the integral of that you get one to five and get by, every time you do the integral of that you add one to five and get six divided by six.

Courtney: we also have english display about the wasteland a poem that the kids read.

Natural sound: so the poem was written by ts eliot.

He was based in london post world war one.

And essentially during that time there were dead bodies around and pollution everywhere.

And during that time when there is so much loss of hope and just death and despair around you, you just don't have time to do anything but survive.

Courtney: anyone feel free to come on by our students are always available to answer questions about their displays.

They love showing off their work and talking to people about what they do.

It's just you know something for everyone.
