Burleigh County, North Dakota commissioners passed a motion by a 3-2 vote on Monday allowing a small number of migrants to continue to resettle there, after President Trump in September signed a bill that would allow local governments to reject refugees.

The debate in the small North Dakota community gained national attention after President Donald Trump in September signed an executive order that would allow local governments to reject resettled refugees.

The motion will limit the number of allowed refugees to resettle there to 25 in 2020, and require social services to process them, as well estimate costs associated with that, local media reported.
