From last march for this first time on monday..

Painter's reasoning and i quote wanting to get no.

2 pencils and jab them through my eyeballs is not something i like doing.

End quote.

Time heals eyeball wounds.

After his boilers' steamrolled the defending national champions this evening..

Painter was asked how long he would wait to watch the tape..

His response: tomorrow morning..

Mamadi diakite maybe the most hated man in west lafayette tonight..

Meanwhile sasha stefanovic earning his first career start at the college level..

And it was the crown point native's night..

Already with a three under his belt..

Stefanovic on the move..

The three ball is good..

A quick six points for number 55..

And there's more where that came from..

A few possessions later..

Stefanovic working a dribble handoff with matt haarms..

Bingo jack!

Stefanovic with three straight bombs..

Purdue up 15 at the half..

Stefanovic and the boilers stretching that lead out.

The sophomore puts th cherry on top of this blowout win..

Purdue avenges that elite 8 loss..

With a 69-40 drubbing of virginia..

Sasha-- i was just trying to be aggressive.

I think the past.

Last week in the tournament i thought i played pretty poorly i wasn't really aggressive i wasn't really ready.

So tonight i just wanted to come out, be aggressive.

Do anything that i could to help try win.

And that happened to be shooting and getting some steals and everything like that so i just wanted to come out have a lot of energy and just try to get us going.

Tony -- forget rankings and all that there's not a big enough sample size.

That stuff doesn't even matter.

But when you go against a team that's that well coached, and that intense and that physical.

It kind of takes you breath away and we played on our heals all game and i had a feeling there would be extra motivation with that setting but take that out of it.

They cleand our clock.

Switching gears
