Evan Lewandowski on decision to transfer: 'My dream is to play at higher level'

Reported earlier this week, uw-la crosse sophomore quarterback evan lewandowski is entering the transfer portal after a record- setting season with the eagles.

The lake zurich, illinois native says he first considered the idea after his all-conference caliber season came to an end.

He says after he talked with his family about his dreams of being a d1 quarterback, it just felt like the right time.

"my dream has always been to play at a higher level, and i think at this point i'm more prepared.

Huge growth.

Two years of, oh my gosh, so much learning.

Coming out of high school i didn't know even close to what i know now."

"i'd say he's gotten a lot better with his reads and actually getting down all the little intricacies of football.

Just the little things he's gotten a lot better at.

I'm happy for him.

I know he's more talented than d3.

It's sad to say, but i know he should be at the fbs level."

If lewandowski signs with a division 1 fbs school he'll have to sit out a season, per transfer rules.

He wouldn't have to sit if he goes fcs or division
