Executive director of the wisconsin coalition against homelessness is calling out lawmakers who refused to pass bipartisan legislation providing emergency assistance to the homeless this winter.

Joseph volk delivered stockings filed with coal -- to republican senators who voted against the bill.

He says given the next floor session is in january... hundreds and possibly thousands of homeless wisconsinites have no place to go to get out of the cold.

"))) volk says the bill was a proposal by former governor walker and supported by current governor evers -- that would have provided four million dollars in assistance for homeless people.

It passed in the assembly but never went to a vote
