So what does that mean?

Action news now reporter cecile juliette explains... after the camp fire, the paradise town council recognized there was not enough housing to go around.

Council members said they wanted to make it as easy as possible for people who lost their homes to remain on their property while they sorted out a more permanant living situation.

So last may... the council enacted the dry camping urgency ordinance.

It allowed people to stay on their property up until november 22nd, which is today... that means people staying in an rv, not hooked up to power, septic, water, living off the grid on their property... must now get back on the grid.

Those that are on their property dry camping right now would need to take steps to get the necessary permits and hookups to stay on their property in their temporary living situation after today...those who are dry camping must get the necessary permits, and hook up to elecriticy, water, and septic, or face fines.

Town leaders say they have no plans to extend the urgency dry camping ordinance right now, but they want to work with citizens to bring them up to code.
