CCTV video shows a platform crowded with football fans before a man falls onto the track and into the path of an oncoming train.

Supervisor John O'Connor (wearing a high-visibility jacket) is seen pulling the man back onto the safety of the platform.

"Here is the dramatic platform video of our humble hero John saving a man's life at the Coliseum station Sunday night.

John is a Transportation Supervisor and has worked at BART for more than 20 years.

An amazing rescue," BART said on its Twitter page alongside the footage.
