American Bar Association Brings Trump Nominee To Tears In Senate Hearing

President Donald Trump has nominated Lawrence J.C.

VanDyke for a seat on a controversial appeals court.

However, his nomination is facing some harsh pushback from the American Bar Association.

According to CNN, the ABA sent a scathing letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

It claimed VanDyke was 'not qualified' for the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals after conducting 60 interviews.

VanDyke currently serves as a deputy assistant attorney general for the Environment and Natural Resources Division at the DOJ.

Trump has attacked the 9th Circuit for rulings blocking administration initiatives, particularly on immigration.

...Mr. VanDyke is arrogant, lazy, an ideologue, and lacking in knowledge of the day-to-day practice including procedural rules.
