Trump Outlines First Phase Of Trade Deal With China

President Donald Trump outlined the first phase of a trade deal with China.

According to Reuters, he also suspended a threatened tariff hike on the country.

Officials on both sides said there still is a lot of work to be done before an accord can be agreed on.

The emerging deal covers agriculture, currency and some aspects of intellectual property protections.

Trump said it could take up to five weeks to get a pact written.
