According to Business Insider, there are US cities where couples can, indeed, benefit from moving in together.

But in many affordable cities in Texas and the Midwest, couples will only save $200 to 300 a month.

That's far less than the nearly $1,000 per month each person would save in big US cities like San Francisco.
