Democratic presidential contenders are urgin Congress to take action against gun violence.

According to Reuters, the U.S. faced two back-to-back shootings in Texas and Ohio, leaving 31 dead.

They are asking for universal background checks, โ€œred flagโ€ laws and a ban on assault weapons.
