'Spider-Man: Far From Home' to Reach $1 Billion Globally

'Spider-Man: Far From Home' to Reach $1 Billion Globally It is the first 'Spider-Man' movie and the 40th film to reach the milestone.

'Far From Home' is the sequel to 2017's 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' which earned $880 million worldwide.

According to Deadline, two-thirds of 'Far From Home's' intake is outside of the domestic box office.

It is now the second-highest grossing flick from Sony, sitting only behind 2012 James Bond movie, 'Skyfall.'

'Far From Home' opened in North American theaters back on July 2.

Just a few days before on June 28, it premiered in China and Japan.

According to Fortune, just over $200 million of its worldwide sales are from China alone.
