Cory Booker and Julian Castro are both running for President.

The two men are powerful people of color.

According to Politico, Booker and Castro have not been able to connect to minority voters, primarily black and Latino voters.

But both candidates have so far failed to stand out in minority states.

It's particularly noticeable since the voters they fail to connect with same are of the race and ethnicity.
