Crews Work to Clear Road in Myrtle Grove as Cleanup from Tropical Storm Barry Continues

National Guard and construction crews worked to reinforce roads in Myrtle Grove, Louisiana, late on July 14 after Tropical Storm Barry passed through the area, causing levee breaches and overtopping.

This video shows Audubon Road in Myrtle Grove being reinforced with sandbags.

The National Hurricane Center confirmed that Barry had strengthened from a tropical storm to a hurricane before making landfall, and said it would bring life-threatening winds and flooding to the Gulf Coast.

The center later reported that Barry had weakened back to a tropical storm as it moved northwards.
