Video reveals final steps of Himalayan climbers

These images show the final moments of eight international climbers, killed in an avalanche in the Himalayas.

The video was released by India's Indo-Tibetan Border Police.

They found the footage on a memory device 19,000 feet up an unclimbed peak near India's Nanda Devi mountain.

They'd been searching the area where some of the bodies have been recovered.

The climbers were reported missing at the end of May after they failed to return to their base camp near Nanda Devi, India's second-highest mountain.

Four of them were British, two were from the United States, one was from Australia and one was from India.

They'd targeted Nanda Devi East, a sister mountain of the Nanda Devi peak that's over 25,000 feet high.

Seven bodies have been airlifted -- an eighth has not been found.

Both mountains rank among the world's most challenging peaks and have been conquered by only a handful of people.
