After Reading Mueller Report, WH Asked Don McGahn To Publicly Exonerate Trump

The New York Times has reported that White House officials asked former White House counsel Don McGahn at least twice in April to publicly state he didn't believe President Donald Trump obstructed justice.

According to Business Insider, McGahn declined the requests.

White House officials reportedly believed that if McGahn said publicly that he did not believe Trump obstructed justice, it would help them push back on the special counsel Robert Mueller's findings in the Russia probe.
