Attorney General William Barr missed Congress’ deadline to deliver the full, unredacted Mueller report…????...now the House Judiciary Committee is set to hold Bar in contempt of Congress.????A day after Barr released a redacted version of Mueller’s findings to the public…????...House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler issued a subpoena…????...for not only the full Mueller report, but also the special counsel’s underlying evidence.????The Justice Department said the subpoena did not provide any “legitimate legislative purpose”...??...and that the agency would not comply.????The Democratic-led committee will vote on Wednesday, May 8th to decide whether or not to hold Barr in contempt of Congress for failing to comply.????CNN reports that if the committee votes to hold the Attorney General in contempt…????...the matter will then go before the full House of Representatives.????After testifying for the Republican-led Senate Judiciary committee…????...Barr did not appear the following day in front of the House committee as both sides could not agree on a format for questioning.????CNN reports that the contempt vote has nothing to do with Barr’s testimony…????...as Congressman Nadler has not yet issued a subpoena on that matter.
