Sri Lankan President Bans Islamist Groups Suspected On Role In Bombings

According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has banned two Islamist groups suspected of being behind a series of bombings on Easter Sunday that claimed the lives of 250 people.

The National Thawheedh Jamaath and Jamathei Millathu Ibrahim were reportedly banned under emergency regulations that came into effect this week following the bombings, Sirisenaโ€™s office said in a statement.
